Lawrence Center

Lawrence Center dedication in 1994

The Samuel B. Lawrence Center was purchased from the Resolution Trust Corporation for $1.63 million in 1993. The acquisition was made possible through the generosity of long-time benefactors, Samuel B. and Marion Lawrence. Mr. Lawrence (’95H) also contributed a number of late 19th and early 20th century American arts to the collection of the College’s Cornell Fine Arts Museum. The building and adjoining property, located on New England and Interlachen Avenues, was formerly the Pioneer Savings Bank. Today, the property provides rental income and houses the Philanthropy and Nonprofit leadership Center at Rollins.
